A few weeks ago, I replaced the desk in my office with an L-shaped desk so I could separate the Mac and the PC. My old desk was from IKEA with a built-in glass plate on one side of it. I had planned on adding a light fixture to it to use as a light source or tracing table, but I never got around to doing that. Now that it's my crafting table, it is next on my list! :)
Over the weekend, I felt this urge to not be a portable scrapper anymore. I figured that when it's time to pack up, it forces me to pack things I need rather than everything I have. So with that plan in mind, shelving was put in using the Rubbermaid Fast Track system. It is intended for garage storage, but I thought it would fit my needs.
I also purchased a Closet-Maid Stack-a-Shelf for $7 at Home Depot to put on my desk to give me extra shelving space while I work or storage when I'm not working on anything. If I needed more of these, I can get another one and it stacks right on top of the existing one.
I found this $5 over-the-door hanging bag at Target. I thought it would work well with any items that I needed access to but didn't have a spot for it on the shelf. The color wasn't quite what I wanted, but I guess you can't be too picky for $5. :-P
After all it is said and done, the total cost was about $75. Not too bad!! ^_^
